Extended Hours on Deadline Days
We're open late when you need us most
Many school and state filing deadlines tend to overlap and/or occur simultaneously,
in predictable “clusters” or “peaks” throughout the filing season.
Our FAFSA operations center works extended hours during the peak filing periods
to give you an expanded opportunity to file. Online or by phone, clients can access
our professional team of Student Aid Advisors, who are on hand to answer questions
and to help guide clients through the application process.
Important Reminder: Deadlines expire at midnight CENTRAL STANDARD TIME.
Your FULLY COMPLETED application must be received before the time listed below on
the day of your deadline for processing and submission.
Standard Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET.
Extended "Peak" Hours of Operation (see dates below):
We are open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. ET Mon-Fri
and 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. ET Sat & Sun on the dates noted in blue below.
