Eligible veterans and their dependents can receive substantial assistance to help pay college tuition and expenses through several military aid programs, such as the Post-9/11 GI Bill, the Veterans Education Assistance Program (VEAP), and others. In particular, the Yellow Ribbon Program can help cover some or all out-of-pocket costs for college tuition and fees. GI Bill Benefits are tiered based on the amount of active-duty service performed after September 10, 2001.
